Last week was a club business meeting with the Committee Chairs giving reports for their group.  Thanks to Lucie Osborn for taking the following notes at the meeting:

President Anja reviewed the Board Structure and how the Board communicates with the membership. This includes the weekly bulletin which goes out on Monday and also the website which has lots of helpful information including who the speakers will be as well as your member information.

Jera Likely, the Director responsible for PR reviewed the goals of the PR committee - I didn't get them all down but basically they want to share information with the public about the club, its activities and tell the story of who Rotarians are.  They use social media and traditional means.  Important PR last year include the 63 plus gutter bins throughout Cheyenne, the raffle for the Bronco and we were the Large Club of the Year for the District.  Facebook following has increased to 1,230 followers.  Rotary International has created a branding program which we are utilizing.  This past year - even with Covid -  with leadership from Lori and Dershie we had 8 socials held at Club sponsor locations and the summer picnic.

Scott Fox - Treasurer - thanked members for paying their dues on time.  Within the first 2 weeks of this quarter 55% have paid their dues.  Recently, 166 members received an email explaining how dues are billed and how you can pay them. He reviewed the procedure he follows and the flexibility there is to customize how you pay dues - a couple even pay dues annually.  He emphasized that he will work with a member to make dues paying work for them.  He shared that dues go to RI, District 5440, meals, service projects, youth programs, and club events like the socials.

Scott Van Horn and Bailey Nowak Membership Co-Chairs indicated that there will be a Rotary 101 in March and others throughout the year to help new members get acquainted with Rotary.  March 16 will be a New Member Recruitment Luncheon so think about people you can invite to the meeting.  If you have questions about membership or a new member idea please see Scott or Bailey.  Membership is involved or has planned for the future Rotary After Hours, Pop-up Community Service, Rotarian to Rotarian mentorship.  Coming soon will be a 'Giant Cup of Cog'.  Every other month there will be a cup to drop your business card in or a piece of paper with contact information.  Members will draw out a card and then contact that Rotarian for a coffee or lunch - a meeting to visit and get to know the other person.
