The Program This Week

District 5440

District 5440

September 16, 2026 - The meeting will be held at Little America at 12 noon.
District Governor Elect, Amy Moon
District 5440
Amy Moon has been a member of the Rotary Club of Star Valley in NW Wyoming since 2019. She has served in club leadership roles including president three times and secretary twice. Additionally, she contributed at the district level with a 2 year term as an Area Governor before being selected as District Governor for District 5440 for the year 2027-2028.

Professionally, she works as a loan underwriter at First Bank of Wyoming, a division of Glacier Bank. Her career in banking began in 2014 when she relocated from Iowa to Wyoming after marrying her husband, Brian. It was this new career in Wyoming that brought her to Rotary due to her employer being a corporate member of the local club. Brian is a full-fledged Rotary partner by helping volunteer at events and fundraisers

Outside of volunteering and work, Amy enjoys outdoor activities such as cycling and cross-country skiing. She enjoys indoor activities like reading mystery or science fiction books and also watching quirky movies with Brian

Amy grew up on a farm in NE Iowa outside the small town of Fayette and has two Bachelor Degrees from the University of Iowa and one Master Degree from the University of Texas at Austin.

New Member Introduced

New member Andy Dykeshorn was introduced to the Club by his sponsor Dave Bartlett.

Andy moved to Colorado Springs at the ripe old age of 2 from Iowa when his father opened Rampart High School, Go Rams, to teach music. Growing up in the Springs brought opportunities to camp, fish, ski, play baseball and soccer. Upon graduating from high school, Go Rams, in the nineteen hundreds, Andrew made his way to University of Wyoming and never left Wyoming, Go Pokes.

He joined the fire department in February of 2001, reached his goal of becoming a paramedic and has held most ranks throughout his career. He says he has been blessed to serve our community for so many years in this capacity.

Most importantly Andrew enjoys raising his family here in Cheyenne, has 3 daughters and one son spanning 3 to 23 years in age. Andrew's wife Jennifer is the trauma program manager for CRMC and has been in nursing for 15 years. She's a track athlete from UW so he doesn't try to keep up and mostly cheats in a foot race.

Both he and Jennifer love to cook and enjoy trying all kinds of foods, and love to adventure through life together.

Andrew wishes to say thank you for the opportunity to be a part of Rotary.
