The Program This Week

Dream Inspiration Academy

Dream Inspiration Academy is a non-profit school in the Mathare Slums of Nairobi, Kenya, built to serve 500 impoverished children. It provides impoverished youth with safe facilities, daily meals, medical care, and quality education to help break the cycle of poverty.

Max and Teresa Bryant will give us an update from the last presentation they made to our club and the results of the donations from our Cheyenne Rotary Club Foundation.

The meeting will be held at Little America at 12 noon.

K9's 4 Mobility

President Brittany and Tom Bass present a check for $20,000 to K9's 4 Mobility CEO Michelle Woerner.  The money will be used to help purchase a new van for the organization.  The Rotary Club of Cheyenne's signage will be displayed on the van.

Exchange Student

Judith Horward, our exchange student from Belgium, has been with us for the past year. Judith gave her sincere gratitude to the Club for the ”Best Year of Her Life."

Changing of the Guard

July brings the beginning of a new Rotary year with new leadership.

Past President Brittany thanks her board for their service with a Rotary note pad.

Judge Johnson swears in new President Mary Guthrie.

President Mary is shown with her new Board for 2026-27.

President Mary gave the following:

Thank you for the confidence you have placed in me by electing me to serve as President of the Cheyenne Rotary Club. I am honored, humbled, and excited to take on this responsibility.

Our club is strong because of the leadership, dedication, and service of those who came before us. I want to especially thank Brittany and all board members for their hard work and vision. They have built a solid foundation.  We are fortunate to inherit a club that is active, respected, and making a real difference in our community.

As we begin a new Rotary year, my goal is not to reinvent what is already working well. Instead, I hope we will continue building on a tradition of excellence. We will strengthen the programs that make our club successful, support meaningful service projects, encourage fellowship, and welcome new members who share our commitment to Service Above Self.

Rotary has always been at its best when people with different backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives come together to improve their communities. Whether we are supporting local nonprofits, investing in youth, promoting health and wellness, or participating in international projects, our collective impact is far greater than anything we could accomplish alone.

This year, I encourage each of us to look for opportunities to engage more deeply. Participate in a service project, invite a guest, mentor a new member, or simply reach out to a fellow Rotarian. Strong clubs are built through relationships, participation, and a shared sense of purpose.

I am particularly grateful for the friendships I have forged in Rotary. The spirit of generosity, optimism, and service that defines this club inspires me every day. I look forward to working alongside all of you as we continue to serve our community and uphold the values that make Rotary such an extraordinary organization.

I treasure  your support, your friendship, and your commitment to service. Together, we will build on excellence and make this another outstanding year for our club.

Thank you.
