Dream Inspiration Academy

Dream Inspiration Academy
May 14, 2025 - The meeting will be held at Little America at 12 Noon.
Max and Teresa Bryant
Dream Inspiration Academy
Max Bryant is a retired banker and a previous US Army company commander. Teresa is a real estate consultant . Max and Teresa are both board members for the nonprofit Dream Inspiration Kenya which provides support for philanthropic work being done in the Mathare slums of Nairobi, Kenya. They are also both board members of Dream Inspiration Academy, an elementary school in the slums. They have two grown children and four grandsons. Max and Teresa have lived in Lakewood, Colorado for the past 33 years. They enjoy traveling, golf, pickleball and hiking. Along with other endeavors, they have been doing humanitarian work in the Mathare slums of Nairobi, Kenya for the past 13 years.

Our passion is helping the children of the Mathare slums. With the assistance of many partners, we have built and opened a six story elementary school which will serve 500 impoverished children annually . The facility and the program are much more than just a school, it is a safe place that provides for the children’s physical and emotional needs with the goal of changing the trajectory of a child’s life.
Rotarian of the Year
President Beth honored PP Lucie Osborn with Rotarian of the Year for all she does for Rotary.  Shown also is Harry (Butch) Osborn, Lucie's husband and support system for when they host exchange students, Lucie is the club photographer who provides all the great pictures for the website and the bulletin.
Board Member Opening
President Elect Brittany Ashby asked Club members to consider volunteering for an open Board position due to a recent resignation. The Board position is for the Public Image Chair.  Please contact Brittany if you have interest in this position.
Flag Exchange
President Beth accepts a banner from the E-Club of Moldova from Lindi Kirkbride.

Dr. Valarie Mock, a member of the E-Club of Moldova and a friend of Lindi's gave $100 to the LCCC Rotaract Club for their trip to Calgary.
Social at MHP
The turnout for the social at MHP was light. Those that attended got to tour the beautiful new home for MHP.
Adaptive Bike Delivery
We now have a schedule for the delivery of the adaptive bikes.  As in past years, they will be delivered to the Cheyenne Fire Department Training Facility at 7222 Commerce Circle Way in Southeast Cheyenne.
We will need some Rotarian Volunteers on Friday evening, May 16 for the uncrating and assembly which will occur between 5:30 and 7:30 at the Training Facility.  The assembly is not complicated so you don't need to be a mechanic or engineer to help, just bring gloves and a box cutter..
The gifting of the bikes to the recipients will take place at the same facility on Saturday May 17 from 10 am to 2 pm. The gifting is a heartwarming experience which I highly recommend.
