Steven Lupien is the Director of the University of Wyoming Center for Blockchain & Digital Innovation and professor of blockchain and cryptocurrency at the University of Wyoming’s College of Business. Steven will discuss with us the fundamentals of blockchain, it's potential impact on Wyoming, and what they are doing at the University of Wyoming regarding this technology.

We have three Rotarians who have filed membership applications to become members in our club. All three are transfers from other Rotary Clubs:

Tom Myers is a member in good standing of the Rotary Club of Breckenridge, Colorado. Tom is a retired realtor.

Kris Whitfield is a member in good standing of the Rotary Club of Laramie, Wyoming. She is the Director of Development and Marketing for the United Way of Laramie County.

Cory Huber of Cheyenne State Bank is requesting a transfer of his Rotary Membership from the Scottsbluff Rotary Club.

Haiti: ShelterBox Response Team Deployed

ShelterBox is sending a response team to the Caribbean region after a powerful 7.2 magnitude earthquake and aftershocks struck Haiti on Saturday, August 14.

The ShelterBox team will work with fellow humanitarians to assess damage reports, understand from communities what they need, and work on the logistics of delivering aid to areas where buildings have been destroyed. They will partner with Rotary International to forge local connections and make sure the right emergency shelter reaches communities when they need it.
