  PRESIDENT LORI’S MONTHLY ROUNDUP
Hello my Rotary family-
Can you believe our membership is nearing 200? We are 194 members as of today with three proposed member applications received this week. Thank you to all those who are actively seeking new members that are committed to Service Above Self. A shout out to Dr. Larry Meuli and Roger Schreiner who are bringing in those community leaders to follow the Rotary Four Way Test and join our family of Rotarians. Please keep sharing the benefits of joining Rotary. As our membership grows so does the ability to do more for our community and the world.
Your support makes projects like the Adaptive Bike Project that our club supported last weekend possible. Over thirty Rotarians, our families and friends helped assemble 10 tricycles to gift to special needs children in Laramie County. What a heart-warming project this has been with nearly 50 bikes purchased, assembled, and gifted over the past two years. A shout out to Traci Lacock for managing this project and to Tom Lacock for making a very cool video. You can find Tom’s video on the Cheyenne Rotary Facebook page. A huge THANK YOU to all who participated in this service project in one way or another.
If your business would like to support our service projects through our Business Sponsorship Program, please reach out to Traci Lacock, Tom Bass, Mike Williams, Brittany Wilson or Carmalee Rose. Our Business Sponsorship program is essential to our club’s ability to respond quickly to community needs. All sponsorship funds are utilized for community projects- no funds are used for administrative expenses. We also have “A Rotarian Works Here” tent cards if you would like one to display at your business or place of work.
A shout out to our Program Committee - Brent Lathrop, Roger Schreiner, Roberta Coates and Bob Maguire for having interesting and educational speakers. Email responses from the membership has been very positive with well received programs.
I hope to see you and your guest at our Valentine’s Day program. Music and chocolate, two of my favorite things, will be provided. Lunch service will start at 11:30AM that day, so please try to arrive early with love in your heart. Please reach out to Mary Guthrie if you plan to attend.
I would like to encourage you all to attend the Rotary District 5440 Conference in Steamboat Springs, CO May 16-18, 2024. For more information, please to go rotary5440.org. If you have never been to a conference, they are inspiring, motivating, educational and fun.
