Workforce Partnership Facilitator

Adam joined LCSD1 in August of 2022. His previous work includes running the Career Center at Laramie County Community College (LCCC), being the Program Director at GearUP on the LCCC campus, and has served in a variety of other community organizations including Youth Alternatives, Leadership Cheyenne, and served on the board of the Skilled Careers Foundation. Adam is constantly striving to create connections that mutually benefit students and community partners, as well as, develop student workforce skills through a variety of activities.

Adam Keizer is the Workforce Partnership Facilitator for Laramie County Community College. Adam is tasked with helping business and community partners work with LCSD#1 Teachers and Students to build a stronger community. Adam helps students prepare for the workforce through career exploration events like the Jr. High Career Fairs and Trades Day. The community is also invited to experience the great things happening in classrooms through the Venture Program and Discover LCSD1. 

In the last decade of working in career services, Adam has seen a noticeable change in students' views of employment, opportunity, and volunteerism.

Adam is excited to provide a unique view of our current young workforce and thoughts on engaging young people in careers and volunteerism. 

March Social Well Attended
The Ghost Bar at The Lincoln was the venue for our March social, the reports are that it's a great place for drinks and conversation.  Check out their website at www.thelincolncheyenne.com and note their music offerings.
The owners of the Ghost Bar, Renee and Jon Jelinek welcomed Rotarians.
 
St. Patrick's Day Celebration
Mick Finnegan and Julie Malm led the Club singing Irish songs.
 
Pat Day shared the history of St. Patrick.
 
Paul Harris Fellow Recognition
Larry Meuli gifted a PH+6 to Jera Likely and a PH+2 to Carly Rando for all they do for Rotary.  Rotary Foundation Chair Lori Schoene presented the awards.
 
Lori Schoene presented a PH+4 to Brent Lathrop and a PH+1 to Denise Lathrop.
Recognition for Donations to Cheyenne Rotary Foundation
Lori Garrison is recognized for her $10,000 donation to the Cheyenne Rotary Club Foundation with a Attillio W. Bedont pin.  Congratulating Lori are Cheyenne Rotary Foundation Board member, Lucie Osborn and President Beth.
 
Roger Schreiner was recognized for his $5,000 donation to the Foundation with a Frank J. Trelease pin.
 
Denise and Brent Lathrop are recognized for their $1,000 contribution to the Foundation with a Auburn Dowdy pin.
Exchange Student Recognition
Exchange students were recognized for their accomplishments in school. Wakana from Japan for her ceramic art with an Honorable Mention and Vito from Argentina for his language skills in three languages - Spanish, English and Italian.  Vito is currently being hosted by Lucie and Butch Osborn.
Call for RYLA Youth
