Beginning with the February 3rd Membership meeting, we will re-commence having hybrid meetings. This means that you can participate in the meeting through Zoom or you can attend at Little America and have lunch. The seating will be four to a table and you must wear a mask except when eating. Social distancing will be observed. This decision was made by the Rotary Board at their January 27th meeting. The hybrid meeting format is in effect until further notice.

Many of us only know Ireland through the Americanized celebration of St. Patrick’s Day. The Irish love a good party!
Carey Hartmann is the County Librarian for Laramie County Library System. She is a fourth generation Wyomingite with roots in Big Horn and Johnson counties back to the early 1870’s. Her mother was born in Dungarvan, County Waterford, Ireland. Carey will cover some eclectic information about Ireland and the Irish to reframe our understanding of the people and culture. Green Beer and Irish Whiskey will be served.

Boys & Girls Club of Cheyenne Youth of the Year, Austin May, will be giving his speech on March 17 to the Rotary Club in preparation for the Wyoming competition on April 6.

Dave Bartlett was our "Consider a Rotarian" this past week. Dave's company does appraisal services and he gave some examples of how you appraise items using different types of cowboy hats as an example.
Dave has been a Rotarian since 2009 and has many fond memories of his service in Rotary. He has participated in RYLA, clean water projects in Africa, working with Habitat for Humanity and Rotary gave him the incentive to give blood. Most recently his time served on the Cheyenne Rotary Foundation Board has been interesting.
Beth VanDeWege was celebrated for achieving well over Major Donor status with Rotary International, she was recognized as a Paul Harris Diamond recipient on Wednesday. Thank You Beth for all you do for Rotary.
There will be green beer and Irish whisky sampling at the Rotary meeting on March 17th as it falls on St. Patrick's Day. Plan to be there and enjoy the festivities!
