Educational Pathways at LCSD#1

Educational Pathways at LCSD#1
July 13, 2022
Lindsey Stutheit
Educational Pathways at LCSD#1

Lindsey will be presenting the scope of work surrounding career exploration and skill development at LCSD#1. Additionally, participants will learn upcoming workforce needs, how these needs are being met educationally, and how students can interact with the industries and partners in our community. Finally, the presentation will guide viewers in how this work is aligned with the strategic plan at LCSD#1 and the strategic initiatives at LCCC, WDE, and within industry.

Lindsey Stutheit currently serves as the Career and Technical Education Coordinator and Workforce Partnership Facilitator for Laramie County School District #1. This work spans all grade levels and subject areas in an effort to help students connect their interests with coursework, opportunities in the community, and a future career. Lindsey's work also includes partnership with Laramie County Community College, Wyoming Department of Education, and the Professional Teaching Standards Board to better support student and teacher opportunities and education. This position with LCSD#1 was a natural fit with her varied work and educational background. Lindsey has taught all grade levels, a variety of subject areas including math, science, and culinary. Additionally, she has worked at the University of Wyoming as a program administrator, Nordstrom as a store administrator, Array School of Technology as Director of Strategy and Operations, and supports Alexis Drake with retail consulting.  She has a bachelor's degree in Textiles and Merchandising, a master's degree in High Education Administration, and a K-12 School Administrator certificate, all from UW. Lindsey is proud to be part of the Cheyenne and greater Wyoming community. She and her husband live in Cheyenne and have called Wyoming home for nearly 15 years. They enjoy hiking, catching UW sporting events, and all the regional food and entertainment they can squeeze in. Helping students connect their interests and abilities to this community are one of her greatest joys!
