FE Warren AFB Adopt An Airman WYO Program

Local residents know that Cheyenne is a military community. For many members of the military community, moving to Cheyenne is a brand new adventure to start their careers. The Adopt An Airman WYO program is a way for the local community to make the airmen feel at home.

Scott Fox will tell us about the program and the application process that matches airmen with families that have similar interests. Just having a place to go can mean a lot to local airmen who are not close to home.

Gutterbin Project Completed

The following quote from our Past President Brent Lathrop sums up the great project completed by the Cheyenne Rotary Club: “Rotarians, what an opportunity we were given when Microsoft approached us with the $100,000 grant to clean up the cities storm water and we did it in record fashion, about eight months to install the 63 Gutter Bins. It shows the power of volunteer service organizations and what can be done. We were thrilled to partner with Microsoft, the City, Laramie County Conservation District and Frog Creek Partners to help clean and protect the waters of Crow Creek for future generations, part of our mission is to carry out Rotary International’s goals on a local level, and this project did just that with a bang.”

The Board voted to accept the membership applications of new Rotarians Mike Causey and Barbara Stafford. Mike is the Executive Director, Wyoming Board of Parole and is sponsored by Lori Garrison. Barbara is the Owner, Task-Global LLC. She is sponsored by Cindy Pomeroy.
