Music Therapy in Wyoming

April 15, 2026 - The meeting will be held at Little America at 12:00 noon.
Hilary Camino

Music Therapy in Wyoming: A Short Film and Discussion offers an inside look at how music therapy is transforming lives across the state. The presentation features Something Changed in the Room, a short documentary highlighting the work of board‑certified neurologic music therapist Hilary Camino at Sage Living in Jackson, where music therapy supports seniors navigating dementia, Parkinson’s, and the challenges of aging.

The film follows Camino’s therapeutic relationships with residents and illustrates how music fosters connection, resilience, and emotional expression. After the screening, Hilary Camino—chair of the Wyoming Task Force—will share insights into the current landscape of music therapy in Wyoming and discuss the wide‑ranging benefits these services bring to residents across the state.

New Member Introduced

Sheridan Piel introduced new member Alex Botero.

Alex has been with Farm Bureau Financial Services since 2022. He is an agent and financial advisor there. His focus is on risk mitigation for client's legacy planning and financial goals.

More importantly, he is husband to his wife Mary Beth. They are high school sweethearts who moved up from Colorado about a year after he started at Farm Bureau. They enjoy long summer walks, 18 holes at the Putt Hutt, and garage sale hunting on the weekends. You will also catch him on the golf course any day the wind is below 40 mph.

Alex wanted to join Rotary to get a better understanding of the specific needs Cheyenne has and what he can be a part of. With the new military programs and industrial improvements, he just knew there would be plenty of new chances to help as Cheyenne expands rapidly. Discovering the niche areas he enjoys serving in is what excites Alex most about joining Rotary.

One thing that everyone gets to know about Alex is that he drives a standard transmission truck. He doesn't know anyone his age who can even drive a stick!

FBI Citizen's Academy

The Citizens Academy is an engaging program that gives business, religious, civic, and community leaders an inside look at the FBI. Classes meet in the evening at the FBI field office. The mission of the FBI Citizens Academy is to foster a greater understanding of the role of federal law enforcement in the community through frank discussion and education.

Candidates are nominated by FBI employees, former Citizens Academy graduates, and community leaders. Participants are selected by the special agent in charge of the local FBI field office.

Application deadline is May 29, Signup Here

The academy will take place in Cheyenne in September, if you have questions contact Scott Meier - 307-631-6609.
