Last year, the Cheyenne Rotary Club Foundation provided Dream Inspiration-Kenya a $10,000 donation.  Max Bryant of the Dream Inspiration would like to give an update on their Academy and the impact the donation had on the children. The following is an update from Max, max.bryant@comcast.net.

"Your club was amazingly generous, and I think they would enjoy an update on the impact their gift has made.

Just a quick story - As you know, we added 3rd and 4th grade and 100 students to our school this year, which began on January 5th. The children that entered 4th grade are brand new to the school. The 3rd graders are last year's second graders and include the 20 students your foundation gave scholarships.  Life in the slums is so fragile and so insecure especially for these children. The ladies that handle our communication made an interesting observation. They said when passing the new 4th graders in the hallway, the students would shrink back from the adults with a lack of confidence and almost a level of fear because of the way they have been dealt with at their previous schools. Not sure if this new school and the amazing blessing would last and not wanting to do anything wrong that would jeopardize this opportunity. Whereas the 3rd graders, like your 20 students, are confident and happy and essentially "Ruling the School" because they had such a wonderful experience last year. Now that they are back for a second year, they know that they are here to stay with two fabulous meals a day, a beautiful school building, teachers who are kind, loving and understanding. It is so cool to see kids get to be kids and thriving in the sanctuary that is DIA. Our 4th graders will get there.

All of that to say thank you again to your club and the tremendous difference you are making to these children!"
