Frank was introduced by his sponsor, PE Lori Garrison.
Frank Magazine is all things Auburn University.  Frank received his BS in Chemical Engineering w/Specialty in Water Treatment from Auburn and is still very active with the Engineering Department.  He is a HUGE fan of the Auburn University Tigers and may even bleed orange and blue.
Frank worked for BetzDearborn, a global service company providing engineered chemical treatment of water and process systems in industrial applications for 14 years and rose to VP of the International Food Business Corporate Accounts.
Frank and his wife Sunnie moved to Cheyenne in 2000 and he joined Kabo Chemicals as Director of Sales.  For over a 20 year period Frank grew and directed this specialty food additive business through 6 divestitures and acquisitions while serving the worldwide market with major customers such as Coca-Cola, Pepsico, Frito Lay, Kraft, Proctor & Gamble, Cargill and many ethanol and protein industries.
Frank was the GM for the Cheyenne business Lubrizol, President of the Cheyenne business Noveon, Director of the specialty food chemicals group Emerald Foam Control and then DyStar.  In 2020 Frank became CEO of Melvin Brewing, the largest brewery in WY, serving distributors in 26 states.  Last December Frank helped with the sale of Melvin Brewing and then was finally able to “retire” at the beginning of this year.
Frank has been very active in service to Cheyenne over the past 20 years.  He was a Board member for the Greater Cheyenne Chamber of Commerce and was on their selection committee for the current President/CEO, an economic development board member with Cheyenne LEADS for multiple years, a CRMC Foundation board member for 4 years and a Cheyenne Symphony Orchestra board member that included the Selection Committee for hiring the current Maestro/Conductor.
So, since Frank is “retired” he is serving on the LC Library Foundation Board of Directors and the Western Vista FCU Board of Directors.  Frank is also a long time member of the Cheyenne Wine Society.
According to Frank’s wife Sunnie, he enjoys traveling, especially to beaches and loves working around the house/yard and trimming their beautiful rose bushes.  Frank has a stepson Christopher, two grandchildren and one great-grandchild whom he adores.
As for Rotary, Frank was a Rotarian in the Chicago area for many years before moving to Cheyenne and he looks forward to joining this esteemed group of folks and doing more to help in our community.  Please welcome Frank Magazine to our club.
