Jean Chrostoski was introduced to the club by her sponsor, Lori Garrison:

Jean Chrostoski grew up in Christopher, a small town in Southern IL. She has a degree in Speech Communication and a minor in Journalism from Eastern Illinois University; a master’s degree in Adult Education from Southern Illinois University-Carbondale; and a Specialist Degree from Illinois State University in Educational Administration. She also received a Certificate in Event Management from George Washington University in March 2020.

Jean spent 28 years in school administration in Illinois, and 5 ½ years in Wyoming, before taking her job as Chancellor for the Diocese of Cheyenne.  She is a member of the Cathedral of St. Mary Church in Cheyenne, serves on the board of St. Joseph’s Children’s Home and is treasurer of Catholic Charities of Wyoming.

Jean has two married sons. Eric lives and works in St. Louis, Missouri as a band director for the Kirkwood School District and Philip lives in Tracy, California and works as a researcher for Sandia National Laboratory in Livermore. She has one grandson, Jonah.

Jean has been a Rotarian for over 19 years. She moved to Cheyenne in December 2019 right before the pandemic and it has taken a while for her to reinstate her membership to the Rotary Club of Cheyenne. She is very grateful for connecting with President Elect, Lori Garrison, upon the recommendation of a mutual friend.

Having the opportunity to be part of several Rotary Clubs over the years, Jean has appreciated the networking and knowledge provided by Rotary and the opportunity to participate in multiple service projects. She has held the position of Treasurer in two of her prior clubs. She has stayed in Rotary this long because those who join, have a true commitment to the 4-Way-Test.
