The Board of our Rotary Club voted last week to donate $5,000 to United Way of Laramie County to support their Community Schools Program. The funds will be used to support these areas:
- Critical family engagement events such as literacy nights, STEAM nights, and parent workshops, empowering families to be active partners in their children's education.
- On-site basic needs support including food assistance, personal hygiene supplies, clothing, and school supplies, ensuring students can focus on learning without unnecessary barriers.
- Enrichment opportunities that promote student success beyond the classroom, providing experiences that spark curiosity and encourage academic achievement.
- Crisis assistance for families in immediate need, helping stabilize households so that children can remain engaged in their deucation.
